Waialae Iki 5
Tennis & Pickleball Court Rules
September 25th 2025
- Court Use: The tennis facility is for the use of Waialae Iki 5 residents and Lot owners. It is not open to the public.
- Guests: A resident or Lot owner may invite up to 4 non-residents to play at the tennis facility but must be present on the courts with guests at all times. This applies to both Tennis and Pickleball players.
- Hours of Operation: Tennis: The courts may be used from 7am to 10pm daily. Pickleball: The courts may be used from 8am to 8pm Sunday – Thursday and 8am to 10pm Friday and Saturday.
- Reservations: Reservation for one hour of court time may be made 7 days in advance and posted on the reservation board. Extension of this time is based on space availability.
Cancellations: As a courtesy to other residents, cancellations should be made in advance as early as possible.
Registration: Players must reserve their court online via the court reservation system. - Party Reservations: A resident or Lot owner may make special reservations for (2) courts for a maximum of 5 hours with rental of the Pavilion.
Third Court: A third court may not be reserved, but may be used until another resident wishes to use the court.
Advance Notice: Party reservations must be made with the Property Manager at least 2 weeks in advance.
Limitation: 50 guest maximum from 7am to 10pm daily. - Attire/Etiquette: Tennis or pickleball attire and court shoes are required, shirts must be worn at all times. Common tennis etiquette is expected. Loud or abusive language is not allowed at any time on the courts.
- Individuals who cannot independently participate in standard play are not permitted on the court surface during active play hours. For safety reasons, all participants must be able to:
- Follow verbal instructions,
- Maintain awareness of in-play areas,
- Remain on their feet unassisted, and
- Refrain from bringing non-sport related items onto the courts.

- Six Player Maximum: No more than (6) players will be allowed be allowed per Tennis or Pickleball court at a time. There will be no team or group play on the courts unless conducted by the Tennis Director.
- Prohibited Activities: No skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, scooters, ect. are allowed on the courts or the upper decks of the Pavilion. No glass or breakable items are allowed on or near the courts. No pets or other animals on the courts at any time. No chalk markings or dawings on the courts. No roughhousing, loud shouting, or unsportmanlike behavior. No non-players may be on the courts during active play sessions. Exessive noise, running outside of play, or loitering on or near the courts is not permitted.
Team Practice Prohibited: The courts shall not be reserved or used at any time for the purpose of conducting team practice. - Cooperation Required: These rules are to be strictly adhered to by all users of the Facility, no attempt should be made to circumvent the spirit of the reservation procedure. All players must be capable of safely participating in standard play and must follow all posted rules of conduct. Any blatant or consistent disregard of these rules will because for suspension/revocation of Resident or Lot owners’ privileges.
Pickleball
- Pickleball may be played between the hours of 8am-8pm Sunday – Thursday and 8am to 10pm Friday and Saturday.
- Only 2 pickleball courts may be set up on a single tennis court.
- Pickleball may be played on courts 3 and 4 only.
- Four to six players are allowwed on a pickleball courts at a time.
Junior Team Tennis
- Junior Team tennis matches will be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays between 7am-5pm. Each team will be allowed to schedule no more than 50% of their matches at the Waialae Iki 5 Court Center.
- Teams must have no less than 25% Resident participation on the team. Teams with less than a 25% Resident rate will not be allowed to host matches at the Waialae Iki 5 Court Center.
- No more than (3) courts may be used for Jr. Team tennis matches. Court #1 shall be designated as the reserve court for resident use during Junior tennis matches.
- The Pavilion shall not be available for Jr. Team member use. Jr. Team tennis gatherings after matches are allowed to be held on the grassed park site, unless a Resident has also reserved that area for their party event.
Adult Team Tennis
- Adult Team Tennis matches will be allowed only on Saturdays and Sundays between 7am-5pm.
- Adult Tennis Teams must have no less than 25% Resident participating on the Team.
